On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation and security of our services), we collect data on every access to the server on which the service is located (so-called server log files) in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1. letter f GDPR.
These are the name of the website accessed, file, your IP number, date and time, browser type and the requesting provider.
Log file information is stored for security reasons (e.g. to clarify abuse or fraud) for a maximum of seven days and then deleted. Data whose further storage is required for evidence purposes are excluded from deletion until the respective incident has been finally clarified.
When you visit the pages of DVV Media, personal data will also be automatically processed in anonymised form. This includes usage data such as the beginning and end of your visit, the pages you call up or the length of time you stay on the portal. This data is not used for personal purposes.
DVV Media collects, processes or uses personal data only in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations. This means that the users' data will only be processed if legal permission has been granted. This means, in particular, if the data processing is necessary or legally required for the provision of our contractual services and online services, if the consent of the users has been obtained, or also on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation and security of our services within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f GDPR, in particular in the measurement of reach, the creation of profiles for advertising and marketing purposes and the collection of access data and the use of the services of third-party providers).
We would like to point out that the legal basis for the consent is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a and Art. 7 GDPR, the legal basis for the processing for the fulfilment of our services and implementation of contractual measures is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR, the legal basis for the processing for the fulfilment of our legal obligations is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c GDPR and the legal basis for the processing for the protection of our legitimate interests is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
We take organisational and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the regulations of the data protection laws are observed and thus to protect the data processed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons.
Data will only be passed on to third parties within the framework of the legal requirements. We only pass on user data to third parties if this is necessary for contractual purposes, e.g. on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 letter b GDPR, or on the basis of justified interests in the economic and effective operation of our business operations in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f GDPR. This applies to internal and external service providers for contract handling and order processing.
If we use subcontractors to provide our services, we take appropriate legal precautions as well as appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of personal data in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions.
If, within the scope of this data protection declaration, content, tools or other means are used by other providers (hereinafter referred to as "third parties") and their registered office is in a third country, it is to be assumed that a data transfer to the countries in which the third parties are based is taking place. Third countries are countries in which the GDPR is not a directly applicable law, i.e. generally countries outside the EU or the European Economic Area. Data is transferred to third countries either if there is an appropriate level of data protection, user consent or legal permission.
When contacting us (via contact form or e-mail), the user's details are processed for the purpose of handling the contact request and its processing in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Cookies are small amounts of data that are transferred from the internet to your computer together with the data actually requested. This data is stored there and kept ready for later retrieval. DVV Media uses the following types of cookies for www.oilgaspublisher.de:
These are cookies that are only stored on your computer for the duration of an Internet session. These cookies are deleted when the session is ended, i.e. when you leave the website or when you close the browser window.
A cookie is also used for user authentication. Different cookies can be used for this purpose: By default, cookies are used which are only generated for the respective session. They store information about the user name, user rights and the validity of the session.
The web analysis tool Econda (cf. §7 item 3.) can set cookies to enable the recognition of an internet browser.
On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) we use the marketing and remarketing services (hereinafter "Google Marketing Services") of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter "Google").
Google's marketing services allow us to display ads for and on our website in a more targeted manner, so that we only show users ads that potentially match their interests. For example, if a user is shown ads for products that he or she has been interested in on other websites, this is known as "remarketing". For these purposes, when you access our and other websites on which Google Marketing Services are active, Google will execute code directly by Google and (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as "web beacons") will be embedded in the website. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the user's device (instead of cookies, comparable technologies can also be used). The cookies can be set by various domains, including google.com, doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com, admeld.com, googlesyndication.com or googleadservices.com. This file records which websites the user has visited, what content he is interested in and which offers he has clicked on, as well as technical information on the browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting time and other information on the use of the online offer. The IP address of the user is also recorded, whereby we inform within the framework of Google Analytics that the IP address is shortened within member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and only in exceptional cases is it transferred in full to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address is not merged with user data within other Google offers. Google may also combine the above-mentioned information with information from other sources. If the user subsequently visits other websites, the ads tailored to his interests can be displayed.
User data is processed pseudonymously as part of Google Marketing Services. This means, for example, that Google does not store and process the name or e-mail address of the user, but processes the relevant data cookie-related within pseudonymous user profiles. This means that, from Google's point of view, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who that cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The data collected by Google Marketing Services about users is transmitted to Google and stored on Google servers in the USA.
We may also use the "Google Tag Manager" to integrate and manage Google's analysis and marketing services on our websites.
If you would like to opt-out of interest-based advertising by Google Marketing Services, you can use the opt-out and opt-in options provided by Google (https://www.google.com/ads/preferences).
e. Google Analytics Cookies (data collection for optimization purposes):
In general, you also have the possibility to delete cookies via the corresponding browser function and to set how your browser should handle cookies. However, it should be noted that the use of the services can be impaired if cookies are generally rejected.
We do not process the data concerned or pass them on to third parties. By using the AddThis plugin, you agree to data processing by AddThis. You can also object to data collection and storage by AddThis at any time with future effect by setting a so-called opt-out cookie. For this purpose please visit www.addthis.com/privacy/opt-out. You can also completely prevent the loading of the AddThis plugins with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker "NoScript" http://noscript.net/.
DVV Media uses the so-called Shariff solution. This solution ensures that initially no personal data is passed on to the social media providers when you visit the DVV Media website. Only when you click on one of the social plugins can data be transferred to the service provider and stored there.
You can find more information about the Shariff project here: https://www.heise.de/ct/artikel/Shariff-Social-Media-Buttons-mit-Datenschutz-2467514.html
DVV Media uses the Share button of Facebook on the basis of its legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer in the sense of Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f GDPR). This allows you to conveniently share articles and your friends/contacts will be informed about them. If you click on one of the buttons, you will be asked to register in the corresponding social network in a new window. In this case a cookie of the social network will also be placed on your computer.
If you do not click the button or are not logged in to the social network, no social network cookie will be placed on your computer. If you are a user of the social network and logged in and click the button, this information is transferred to your corresponding user profile. Other users can then see that you share/twitter this article. Exactly which users receive this information depends on the privacy settings you have made on your user profile. If you visit a page with a button, the IP address is transmitted. For data protection reasons, however, this is anonymised in such a way that no conclusions can be drawn about the computer or its user.
We use content and service offers from third parties within our services on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offering within the meaning of Art.6 para.1 lit. e GDPR) in order to integrate their content and services.
Econda GmbH (www.econda.de) solutions and technologies (www.econda.de) collect and store anonymous data and create usage profiles from this data using pseudonyms in order to design and optimise this website. For this purpose cookies can be used which enable the recognition of an internet browser. However, user profiles are not merged with data about the bearer of the pseudonym without the express consent of the visitor. In particular, IP addresses are rendered unrecognisable immediately after receipt, which makes it impossible to assign user profiles to IP addresses. Visitors to this website can object to this data collection and storage for the future at any time here: www.econda.de/econda/unternehmen/datenschutz/widerspruchscookie/.
We also use Google Analytics; see § 5 number 1 lit.e) of this data protection declaration.
We have enabled IP anonymization on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services to the website operator in connection with the use of the website and the Internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.
In order to optimise advertising for you on the basis of your usage interests, we have allowed the following companies to collect usage data on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of the online offer in the sense of Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f GDPR):
